Rachael began her career in social services working with children in foster care, residential units and in a private school. She focused on educating individuals with disabilities in ways that would assist them in learning necessary skills to live a healthy independent life. Rachael joined Advocates for Access in 2015, as the Direct Services Coordinator before becoming the Youth Services Coordinator. She advocates for students in educational settings and the community to increase their success in schools and the employment field. Rachael earned an Associate’s Degree from Illinois Central College in Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Lincoln College. She serves on several committees including Heart of Illinois Continuum of Care, Illinois State Advocacy Committee, Youth Advocacy Committee, and Central Illinois Transition Planning Committee. Rachael has always loved to help and empower others to realize and reach their full potential in all that they do.
